Terms of Service & Acceptable Use

Last updated 13 July 2026

Maply is an app that lets you save places you find online to a personal map, share those lists as links, and — if you choose to become a creator — publish them under a public @handle. By using Maply you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

1. Your content

The places, lists, notes, and profile details you create are yours. When you tap Share or Publish, you grant Maply a licence to host, copy, and display that content so the link works — on the web and in the app — for as long as it's shared or published. You're responsible for what you share, and you confirm you have the right to share it.

2. Public by design

Shared and published lists are public: anyone with the link can view them, and search engines may index published creator pages. Don't put anything in a shared list that you wouldn't want to be public. You can unpublish a list at any time, which removes its page.

3. Acceptable Use Policy

Because published content is public, some things aren't allowed. You must not use Maply to create, share, or publish content that:

4. Reporting & takedown

Every shared and published page has a “Report this list” link, and lists imported in the app can be reported too. We review reports and may remove content that violates this policy, and may suspend accounts that repeatedly or seriously break these rules. We aim to act promptly but don't guarantee a specific response time.

5. Maply Creator subscription

Maply Creator is an optional auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly) that unlocks branded links, unlimited published lists, themes, and view counts. Payment is charged to your Apple Account, and the subscription renews automatically until you cancel it at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings. Billing, cancellations, and refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms; we don't process payments and can't issue refunds directly.

6. Availability & changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service. We try hard to keep shared and published links working (see our commitment to permanence), but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above, and continued use means you accept them.

7. Disclaimer & liability

Maply is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. Place information is derived from third-party posts and public map data and may be inaccurate — always verify before you rely on it. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Maply and its operators aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

8. Termination

You can stop using Maply anytime and delete your account by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms.
